According to officials, multiple witnesses reported seeing a silver and red 1994 GMC 1500 pickup truck traveling recklessly northbound on SR-39 at the Boone County-Hendricks County line. The pickup eventually veered out of its lane and collided head-on with a dump truck.

Deputies arrived to find both vehicles severely damaged and at rest in the middle of the roadway.
