Narrative
HUNTINGTON COUNTY, IN – A passenger lost their life early Thursday morning as a result of a two-vehicle crash near Warren that injured both drivers, one critically.
The accident took place on State Road 9 at the intersection with County Road 900, shortly after 5:00 a.m. on June 20.
Officials say an SUV was traveling southbound on SR-9 and across the intersection when, for reasons unclear, it was struck by a car that traveled past the centerline.
The driver and sole occupant of the SUV was transported to an area hospital for “immediate medical attention,” while the driver of the car was flown to an area hospital.
A passenger in the car succumbed to their injuries at the scene.
No further details have been released, and no charges have been reported as of this writing.
