ANDERSON, IN – One person sustained injuries last Thursday in a two-vehicle crash involving a semi in south-central Madison County.
The accident happened in the morning on the northbound side of I-69 near Scatterfield Road in the city of Anderson. This is about 40 miles northeast of Indianapolis.
Police say that the driver of a northbound passenger car rear-ended an 18-wheeler while occupied with their cell phone.
Medics airlifted the driver of the passenger vehicle to the hospital with unspecified injuries.
Drivers likely encountered delays along the interstate in the area of the accident while emergency teams worked at the scene.
