Narrative
MONTGOMERY COUNTY, IN – A two-vehicle crash involving an 18-wheeler killed one person and injured another on Sunday in south-central Montgomery County.
The accident occurred around 6 p.m. on US-231 near IN-234. This is north of Lapland and west of Ladoga.
Police say that an eastbound 2016 Honda CRV entered the path of a northbound semi, causing the two vehicles to collide. It’s unclear if the driver of the Honda ran a red light or stop sign.
A passenger in the Honda died at the scene. Authorities have not yet released their name to the public.
Medics transported the driver of the Honda to the hospital with unspecified injuries.
